Peak® 98 By Dav

Ditch the herd

Toss them over your shoulder on bootpacks, slap some skins on to tour, or link turns through glades on resort. The 98 by Dav is a ripping resort ski—and a whole lot more.

Ski Length Guide

The Peak 98 by Dav is our ski of choice for inbounds hike-to terrain, chalky alpine snow, spring ski tours, summer couloirs, and anytime you want a bit more maneuverability in a mid-fat width. It’s got range. You can pair these skis with pretty much any boot/binding combination. It’s a match made in heaven when paired with resort-to-AT hybrid bindings and freeride boots with walk/tour modes. Skiing is a big sport. Push yourself.

Warranty

While unlikely, it’s possible that you will receive a pair of skis with a minor flaw. It’s also possible, while out enjoying your skis, something goes wrong with them that is unrelated to the ski conditions or environment. Should a circumstance arise where you discover a flaw after putting your skis on snow, and you are the original owner, we will happily replace them for up to three years from the date of purchase. Enjoying your skis is paramount; if enjoying your skis results in damage to the skis from any number of hazards that exist in the mountain environment, we trust that you’ll understand if we have a tough time replacing them due to conditions or circumstances outside of Peak’s realm of influence.

Peak® 98 By Dav

Whats Under the Hood

If not for the KeyHole™—and our dedication to delivering a smooth flex in each length—the 88 might come off as burly. Two full sheets of metal sandwich a paulownia and ash core and the bottom alloy runs “over the keys” in ski engineer speak. What the hell does that mean? The ski’s edges offer more bite.

But don’t get scared off. Because the 88 is built around our concept of “accessible power,” it only skis as hard as you do.

Exhilarating!

I’ve not had a chance to get on my new Peak skis because of health and weather issues, but yesterday was a bluebird day, and the snow was perfect. The turning motion of these boards are like nothing I’ve experienced before. Very quick, almost too quick initially which got me in the back seat at times, but I love this aspect. A pleasant surprise: I’m not a bump skier but when I inadvertently found myself in a mogul field (I’m 78), these skis got me through much easier than with my other skis.
All in all I’m very pleased with these skis.

What a joy to ski on. Peak 98 DAV are light, nimble and fun to carve with. Great Ski.

At $1090 it’s pricey for an intermediate ski. At $600 it’s about right. I paid around $900.

Responsive and light. Maybe too light. But at $1090 it’s pricey for an intermediate ski. At the discounted price of $600 it’s about right. But there are many good skis in that price range. I paid around $900. Way too much.

Super responsive

I’m a gal that is trying to keep up with my male pals on the groomers and bump.My guy friend could not stop talking about his Peak 98 (Bodie’s), so after researching, I decided to get this version and couldn’t be happier. I have a hard time with long, stiff skis on bump runs that is required to keep up with the boys. But with this in 178cm, I have such a great time handling it thru groomers, bumps and trees with ease. Love it!
