Warranty

While unlikely, it’s possible that you will receive a pair of skis with a minor flaw. It’s also possible, while out enjoying your skis, something goes wrong with them that is unrelated to the ski conditions or environment. Should a circumstance arise where you discover a flaw after putting your skis on snow, and you are the original owner, we will happily replace them for up to three years from the date of purchase. Enjoying your skis is paramount; if enjoying your skis results in damage to the skis from any number of hazards that exist in the mountain environment, we trust that you’ll understand if we have a tough time replacing them due to conditions or circumstances outside of Peak’s realm of influence.

Whats Under the Hood

If not for the KeyHole™—and our dedication to delivering a smooth flex in each length—the 78 might come off as burly. Two full sheets of metal sandwich a paulownia and ash core and the bottom alloy runs “over the keys” in ski engineer speak. What the hell does that mean? The ski’s edges offer more bite.

But don’t get scared off. Because the 78 is built around our concept of “accessible power,” it only skis as hard as you do.

If a GS ski and mogul ski had a child

As unorthodox as it may sound, if a GS ski and mogul had a child this would be it! To no surprise these skis are great at laying trenches on corduroy at speed. The 78’s are very stable and have the right amount of heft to them so they don’t feel burly. The skis are stiff yet have a very energetic feel likely due to their level of camber more similar to a mogul ski. I’ve been shocked at how much fun these skis are in the bumps! The 78’s have a similar shape to GS and mogul skis compared to the hourglass, slalom, shape typical on narrow skis. I feel like I can cut through the bumps with ease on the 78’s. I’ve even spent time on chop and crud, never having more fun cutting through those conditions on a mid to narrow ski. Again they feel stable on those conditions plus aren’t catchy likely due to not having a bulbous tip and tail typical of mid to narrow skis. To my delight, the 78’s energetic feel even has me seeking out jumps on the sides of trails. I would ski everything but powder and slush on these skis. I ski 130+ days a season and love trying out new skis. I’ve never been on a ski like this before! Well done Bode!

Just a few days in on these, and wow...

This is my 3rd pair of Peak's. I have the 104s and the 98s (my son took those). Getting in about 65 days this year and almost every day was on the 104s. Truly a quiver killer. The 78s showed up at the end of the season, but I still got 8 or 9 solid days on them. They are insanely stable at high speed, and they accelerate out of the turn like mad. They look awesome on the snow, with an almost invisible strip of 'Peak' down the middle that just looks badass. Can't wait for next season!

What fun!!!!

From frozen corduroy to deep corn snow and everything in between. Only had time to ski the 78 for one day, but it will be my go-to ski for the next season. (The 88 is my deep powder ski. ;) )

Jet Stixx

Quick and nimble in the bumps to rock solid hold at speed (even in the gates), these little jet stixx are exactly what you want for those days between storms. Good job guys!!!
